The Progeny Film Festival
This Festival showcases the best of Virginia Tech student films representing a variety of genres and film styles. Since 2003, Progeny has drawn audiences every spring to The Lyric Theatre for entertainment and exploration of creative student work. Each year, a two-hour program of the best submitted films is put together by Progeny Alumni. The screening is immediately followed by an awards ceremony led by a faculty committee who select the winners, and the audience votes for Favorite Film.
