Alpha Psi Omega
The Eta Gamma chapter of Alpha Psi Omega was reinstated at Virginia Tech in 2015. It is a co-ed theatre honors society that is student run. Kappa Kappa Psi
The chapter formed in 1974 as a student service and leadership organization with a chief aim to assist the band director in developing the leadership and enthusiasm of the band.
Tau Beta Sigma
Started in 1979, the Zeta Omicron chapter provides support to the Virginia Tech Music program: The Marching Virginians, the Virginia Tech Concert Bands, as well as our dedicated faculty and staff.

United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Student Chapter at Virginia Tech
The student chapter is made up of students (graduate and undergraduate) who have a passion for the Design/Tech side of the theatre and entertainment industry. These chapters work to promote learning among their peers and to support design and technology on campus.
USITT has been around since 1960, it was organized to promote dialogue, research, and learning among practitioners of theatre design and technology. Today it has grown to include members at all levels of their careers and has embraced the new technologies being used in entertainment. USITT is now the leader in life-long learning opportunities for the entertainment design and technology industry.
Lolopolis Comedy Group
Lolopolis is a student-run long-form improv team that rehearses and performs comedy shows at Virginia Tech. We've been doing live comedy in Blacksburg since 2010, and continue to bring the funny to you!
Take Note A Cappella Group
Take Note is a student-run, co-ed a cappella group created specifically for Theatre & Cinema majors, and is designed to allow you to prioritize and participate in main-stage and workshop productions without having to totally give up your passion for singing. AMP - Association of Movie Productions
This student-run film club is for those passionate about making movies. Members work together on film projects, helping each other with information and person-power to complete creative projects. For more information about how you can get involved, contact faculty advisor Dien Vo.
The Progeny Film Festival
This Festival showcases the best of Virginia Tech student films representing a variety of genres and film styles. Since 2003, Progeny has drawn audiences every spring to The Lyric Theatre for entertainment and exploration of creative student work. Each year, a two-hour program of the best submitted films is put together by Progeny Alumni. The screening is immediately followed by an awards ceremony led by a faculty committee who select the winners, and the audience votes for Favorite Film.
