Henderson Lawn is probably my most favorite spot because it is the most inviting and unassuming part of campus. It hosts the campus community as well as the community-at-large. It has a friendly and open atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome. To be able to host the Summer Arts Festival concerts on Henderson Lawn is certainly a great advertising tool for the School of Performing Arts, and a wonderful way for the University and the Town of Blacksburg to come together. Furthermore, the fact that our own Theatre 101 is located on Henderson Lawn (facing College Ave.) truly gives the community a more inviting approach to the Virginia Tech Campus.
