What is your favorite place on campus? Why?

Squires Recital Salon. As I am a great lover of solo recitals and chamber music, the Recital Salon is where I spend a lot of evening and week-end time.

What do you most enjoy about your work? What is the most satisfying or rewarding moment of your artistic process?  What gives you the most satisfaction as a teacher?

Certainly my own performance has been a major part of the artistic process and motivation for my work for decades, however, it the students that really inspire me. As I witness their progress as instrumentalists, and their evolution as intellectual and artistic musicians, I am gratified beyond belief. Teaching is truly my raison d'être.

When do you first remember making the decision to go into the arts?

I didn't choose music as a  career; it chose me!
