Brass and String Ensembles

Students with interest in exploring repertoire for like instruments may participate in the following ensembles:
Low Brass Ensemble
Horn Choir
Trumpet Ensemble
Low String Ensemble

The groups rehearse and perform throughout the year and are open to all students (with permission of the instructor) regardless of major.

Since these ensembles are directed by applied faculty, students gain insight into both the common practices and challenges associated with ensemble performance on their instrument. Through work in an ensemble students develop key skills that are readily transferable to larger groups (orchestra, wind ensemble, jazz ensemble etc).

Recent performance highlights include presentations at regional and national conferences as well as several performances at the Moss Center for the Arts.

Rehearsal Schedule:
Low Brass Ensemble, Wednesdays 7:00-9:00pm
Horn Choir, Wednesdays 7:00-9:00pm
Trumpet Ensemble, Wednesdays 7:30-9:00pm
Low String Ensemble, rehearsals TBD
