Theatre: Two Year Post MFA Fellowship

Brittney S. Harris teaches Acting and Collaborative Techniques in the School of Performing Arts. Her areas of expertise are in performance, cultural enrichment, and diversity/inclusion. Prior to Virginia Tech, Brittney taught Acting for Non-Majors and Characterization at the University of Georgia. Her personal aesthetics for performative and outreach initiatives is creating an open forum for individuals that is free from racial or gender predispositions and limitations. She has conducted workshops in Solo Performance Development and Race and Performance within the Southeast theatre conference region including KCACTF Region IV, Georgia Theatre Conference (GTA) and Virginia Theatre Association Conference (VTA). Brittney has created work and performed professionally at Virginia Stage Company, Chrysler Museum of Art, and Hampton University.
