James Glazebrook

Associate Professor - Violin, Viola, New River Valley Symphony Orchestra

James Glazebrook teaches violin and viola, conducting, and string methods. He is the conductor of The New River Valley Symphony, Virginia Tech's university/community orchestra.

His varied career has encompassed professional performance, conducting, and music education. As a violinist, he has been a member of the San Diego Symphony and Opera Orchestras. He has served as the concertmaster of the Colorado Springs Orchestra, New Hampshire Music Festival, and Roanoke Symphony Orchestra.
