Taylor Baldwin

Adjunct Instructor, Men's Chorus

Taylor Baldwin is the Tech Men’s choral director at Virginia Tech as well as collaborative pianist for the choral area. Taylor has performed extensively as chamber pianist, vocal coach, and conductor throughout the United States, Germany, Austria, Italy and Russia. Professional engagements have included Opera Roanoke, Roanoke Symphony Chorus, AIMS in Graz, Cleveland Opera, Opera Carolina, Knoxville Opera, Central City Opera, and Opera Colorado. 

Academic positions have included: Opera Music Director/Collaborative Pianist at Concord University, West Virginia; Orchestra Conductor/Collaborative Pianist at Radford University, Virginia;  and, currently, the Men’s Choral Director at Virginia Tech.

Taylor holds degrees in conducting and piano from Radford University and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He had additional conducting and piano studies at the University of Colorado, Boulder and the University of Michigan.
