William Parrish

Adjunct Instructor, Oboe

William Parrish teaches oboe and plays principal oboe in the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, Opera Roanoke, and Opera on the James; as well as oboe and English horn for the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival Orchestra.

He spent ten years as the Assistant Director and Chamber Music faculty member of the Juilliard School Pre-College Division. He has played professionally with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, New Jersey Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, The American Sinfonetta and the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra. He is an active and dedicated teacher, clinician and master reed maker.
