A Student's Thoughts

What I enjoy most about the program is the one-on-one instruction from professors, as well as the endless opportunities we have for hands-on experience that will grow us not only as students and future educators, but as musicians and performers.

Large Ensembles & Chamber Music

We offer a variety of performance opportunities in orchestra, band, choral, and chamber music settings. As performance careers are highly competitive, taking part in the broadest spectrum of performance experiences is encouraged.

Study Abroad

Music Analysis in London is a special learning experience, combining the deep study of music, world-class performances, and the excitement of studying abroad. The course features an intensive examination of four masterworks from varying genres, followed by attendance of performances of those four works in London.

We typically attend several additional London performances beyond the major works under study. London is, after all, "the greatest music city on the planet." The course is held in spring semester and includes a one-week field study in London. (Designed for upper-class students studying music.)
